In a business meeting with a few entrepreneurs in the u.s., the Government of Indonesia get much commitment of cooperation and investment. The head of the capital investment Coordination Agency (BKPM) Franky Sibarani get commitment from Apple to build technology development center in Indonesia.
Franky says, from the side of investing, Silicon Valley companies in the field of technological innovation is primarily a manufacturer of gadgets and computers, Apple, delivered his plan to build a research and development center (R&D), and supports the development of environmentally friendly Tin mines in Bangka Belitung.
"They have a commitment to build a research and development center of their technology in Indonesia as well as supporting the revitalization of State-owned Tin mines in Bangka Belitung. The Tin will be the result of raw materials from products produced by Apple, "said Franky in the affidavits, Thursday, October 29, 2015.
In addition to Apple, other Silicon Valley companies that have built the Centre of R&D in Indonesia was Marvell. The R&D centre is the Foundation for the semi conductor industry development in Indonesia.
"The development of a molecular chip which is a breakthrough technology that makes it easy for companies to develop the computer industry in Indonesia Marvell are powerful, affordable," continued Franky.
Some of the things delivered by Marvel is about industry needs flexible workforce will thus required a flexible employment rules anyway. This will be immediately acted upon and communicated further with related ministries.
